The Ocean Race Europe Tracker has just had an update thanks to PredictWind, and now looks at routing for the boats, but it doesn’t yet have VMG or VMC.

Leg 3 of The Ocean Race Europe is anything but straightforward from a meteorological point of view, and the seven boats in the fleet face an uncertain picture as they continue on their way from Cartagena in southern Spain to the French port of Nice.

The season might be ending for some and just beginning for others, but the goal is the same: finding those extra gains that separate leaders from the pack. Now’s the time to stop guessing and start repeating the fast settings that deliver results.

Despite a light forecast the fleet were released on time for a drift in the Eckernforde fjord, fortunately after a relatively short wait the fleet were sent back in by the race officer having found the wind too unstable and too soft for racing.

Strong winds and sunshine, with a storm passing through, the 4th day of Burnham Week 2025 saw fresh crews refill the ranks as the premier East Coast regatta goes on.
