The Albacore Scottish and European Championships, sponsored by Northlink Ferries and Cooke (Scotland) were hosted by the South Yell Boating Club in the Shetland Islands in what must be one of the most Northerly dinghy sailing areas.

Organizers moved the start up earlier than the rest of the week, with the first warning signal going up at 10:30 for the 49er gold fleet, the 49erFX and the 49erFX Open, all three sailing three races to close out the regatta.

After two challenging races in strong wind, the top 10 teams have secured their places in tomorrow’s Medal Series at the 420 & 470 Junior European Championships.
