Cadet class Peter Scott Trophy at Draycote
Draycote hosted the second and final selector of the season, the Peter Scott Trophy, closing the World Team qualification series. Following the heavy weather seen at Grafham just three weeks earlier, Draycote delivered an entirely different challenge.

Christchurch Ledge Race (but not)
The forecast was not looking good to sail the Christchurch Ledge Race from some way out and so it proved. With about 3 knots and little prospect of an awful lot more, the Race Officer, Nick Hopwood, decided to delay for half an hour.

The sun was out in full force for the third event in the 2026 Sailing Chandlery sponsored RS200 Northern Tour hosted by Staunton Harold SC on Saturday, 23rd May. Four visitors joined six home boats for the event.

Solo Midland Area Series at South Staffs
Round 3 (I think) of the Solo Midland Area Series, sponsored by Allen and CB Trailer and Coverstore, took place at South Staffs SC on Saturday 16th May. Eleven home boats were joined by five visitors.

Vintage/Classic International 14s at Rickmansworth
Eleven boats, made up of seven classics and four vintage came to Rickmansworth SC to take part in a three race series including a main trophy race sailed over two days. The Saturday was shared with a Firefly open meeting.
