Where to begin?! What a long weekend! 53 boats at a Mirror Nationals, the first time since ages that there were more boats at the Nationals than the annual pilgrimage to the beach at Abersoch Mirror Week, really underlining the class resurgence.

On the 30th August 2025, Rollesby Broad Sailing Club hosted the 31st Broadland Youth regatta. The event brought together eight sailing clubs across Norfolk and Suffolk, providing the youth sailors with the opportunity to showcase their skills.

Irish offshore sailor Tom Dolan is set to take on one of the biggest challenges of his career this Sunday, 7th September, defending his historic victory in the 2024 Solitaire du Figaro, widely regarded as the “World Cup” of solo offshore sailing.

Despite the challenging forecast over the three day “Shrimper Open Championship”, hoisted by Mylor Yacht Club, Falmouth, the event attracted a record entry.

Cascais is turning out to be a Finn sailor’s dream. Since the fleet arrived here, they have been treated to exceptional conditions, with solid winds, hot sunshine, warm air and huge waves. There is an air of epicness on the way in Cascais.

The final day at the i14 Europeans in Eckenforde brought a continuation of weather from the previous few days. After a short delay the fleet headed out onto the water for the final two races in what had been a tricky and challenging race course.

A big split has opened up on Leg 4 of The Ocean Race Europe, with a breakaway group of four boats jumping away to a lead of over 100nm after they passed through the notorious Strait of Bonnifacio between Corsica and Sardinia.
